Teatro ZinZanni ~ well I can't even half way describe the magic, creative, interactive, joyous show this was! We weren't able to take photo's which bummed me but also I could understand...
SO.. I'll use photo's from their site. http://www.dreams.zinzanni.org I hope this link takes you there I've had trouble with it... you can also google Teatro ZinZanni...
The Show: Maestro's Menagerie
Step right up and step back in time as an 18th century circus troupe takes over Teatro ZinZanni's spiegeltent. The Maestro and his menagerie of strong men, equilibrists, and trapeze artists have come to collect an unusual puppet and end up staying awhile. Magic, merriment and mayhem abound as Teatro ZinZanni presents Maestro's Menagerie, a mesmerizing mélange of trickery and illusion guaranteed to beguile the beholder. With French Canadian static trapeze artists Ssens Duo in their Seattle debut, Maestro's Menagerie features the return of Ukrainian illusionist Voronin as the Maestro and blues songbird Francine Reed. Also featuring the sensuous Russian contortionist Svetlana, the Human Cartoon American clown Peter Pitofsky, Russian gentleman juggler Sergiy Krutikov, the acrobatic comic duo the Collins Brothers, opera diva Juliana Rambaldi, and the luminous equilibrist Elena Boradina.
We were seated by a young man dressed right out of a Dickens novel...
Our waitress looked like she belonged in a Burlesque show... boa's, feathered hat, glitter, lace dress and gloves.
I can't really even begin to tell the story it went so quickly. It's about Maestro asking a Romanian puppet maker to make him a life size puppet. The comedy of errors, around her and him were priceless!
One of my favorite singers was a big part of the show. Francine Reed. She has a beautiful smokey, bluesy voice. I know her from Lyle Lovett and His Large Band, which she travels with.
The costumes were over the top!
Here are a few pictures of some of the performers.
We had five courses...
Pork Pate, bread and hot mustard, pickles and olives to start.
Asparagus pureed soup.
Salad with goat cheese.
My son and I had prime rib with vegetables, and mashed potatoes. My husband had the halibut. All was delicious!
Last but not least was a torte with all fresh fruits... Of course we had wine..
When it ended I was sure I was transported for 3 hours to another world... We all need that don't we!
This was the best Birthday I have ever had! Ever! Including childhood!
When I get home from Seattle tomorrow I will have one last look at my blog to see if any new people have commented... then I'll put all the names in a hat and draw one Sunday morning and then you will be the first to know!
I've always wanted to go to this! It looks fun, wild and what I need!!!
Part circus, part dinner theatre, Teatro ZinZanni is a big night out unlike any other, a three and a half hour whirlwind of international cirque, comedy and cabaret artists all served up with a five-course feast designed by celebrated Northwest chef Tom Douglas.
An ensemble cast of aerialists, comics and crooners make every night at Teatro ZinZanni a unique experience.
An ever-evolving and constantly changing production, Teatro ZinZanni combines improv comedy, vaudeville revue, music, dance, cirque and sensuality into a dizzying and colorful new form that is never quite the same from evening to evening. The fast-paced action of the show unfolds above, around and even alongside the audience as they dine on a gourmet meal. Teatro ZinZanni is guaranteed to
Ok I'm not going to whine or whinge again after this...
Sometimes I can't believe what happened to me in just 5 and a half months... I'm not going to go into it again, some of you know. Too many losses this year....
I put Vern and Doreen with my chickens yesterday and the ducks got so aggressive they were terrorizing them. Biting and pulling their wings. I had to separate them with a rake. Then I put them in my garden and they ate all my ferns and squash's....
Dilemma ..... I agonized all yesterday and today.
But I finally made the decision to give them to this wonderful young man that loves them. : ) Good decision I think even tho heartbreaking for me... They will have a good life and the stress level may go down ...
Healing from sickness and losses this year.... Maybe my Birthday will pull me out of it.
I'm wishing everyone here that visits a wonderful evening...
Michelle from http://thestudioatcrowhavenfarm.blogspot.com sent me 4 beautifully crocheted spa towels in a beautiful bowl and to top that she sent me that wonderful Halloween ornament! I can hardly wait to hang him in my studio! Thank you Mish!
Also my son came up yesterday and said "Mom, it looks like your garden is wearing jester hats" : )
*Don't forget to leave me a post to sing up for the June giveaway... on my birthday June 26*
Because that is just what I did today! Stepped on to a treadmill going 2.6 miles per hour.. not a good idea. It threw me almost the whole length of the gym! Luckily for me I must have strong bones... none broken but lumps, bumps, tears and bruises.... not a pretty sight.
Have a Great Week-end... I know what I'll be doing!
Junes giveaway is going to be copies of my 2 doodle pages that you can color, draw, paint, bead, cut whatever you want to do! Click on picture to enlarge.

I live in the Pacific NW with my husband, cat and 7 chickens. My son lives a few miles away. I feel blessed to have 2 people that love me and I love them back. I've been making dolls for several years. From odd to cute... Halloween is one of my favorites.
I feel grateful and blessed everyday.
I've always had an eye for odd and unusual things. I'm attracted to bones, skulls, feathers.
I love dry humor and dark clothing. I'd rather have green olives than a chocolate cake. Coffee instead of tea. A walk on the beach or a dirt road instead of a mall or fancy clothing store. I love birds (that includes my chickens) prefer cats over dogs... but I love dogs.
I'm nomadic and would like to travel 9 months out of the year.
That's a little about me...
