Good-Bye Duckies.... : (

Ok I'm not going to whine or whinge again after this...
Sometimes I can't believe what happened to me in just 5 and a half months... I'm  not going to go into it again, some of you know. Too many losses this year....

I put Vern and Doreen with my chickens yesterday and the ducks got so aggressive they were terrorizing them. Biting and pulling their wings. I had to separate them with a rake. Then I put them in my garden and they ate all my ferns and squash's....

Dilemma ..... I agonized all yesterday and today.
But I finally made the decision to give them to this wonderful young man that loves them. : ) Good decision I think even tho heartbreaking for me... They will have a good life and the stress level may go down ...

Healing from sickness and losses this year.... Maybe my Birthday will pull me out of it.

I'm wishing everyone here that visits a wonderful evening...

Oh Pattee....I hate that this year has been so sad and stressful for you :(....you are just about the sweetest person on the planet and certainly don't deserve it! Perhaps this will be the end of it for a while?!
We had a very similar problem with a beloved pet duck a few years ago....she went to a loving home with a huge dam and never looked back. I know how you feel, but you have done the right thing.
Sending lots of hugs and a little package of cheer (it may not arrive before your birthday, but it won't be far away!).
Love, Lorell xoxo

:( So sorry that you're having to say goodbye to your duckies... I'm sure they will be well taken care of. I'm glad you had someone to give them to.
I'm hoping that you're done with heartbreak & loss for the rest of the year (at the very least!)
Sending you love & hugs. Hope you're able to be outside enjoying this lovely evening! ^-^
*more hugs!*

That's so sad, but I understand completely. I've had problems with some of my rescues in the past and it's heartbreaking when you are forced to do something to make everything less stressful.
I'm wishing you an early Birthday wish..."may this birthday year be filled with only happiness and laughter"

I'm so sorry for you Pattee. I fully understand though, I had the same issues with my new chickens last year. They wrecked everything and beat up my old girls horribly. I at least (after much nagging) managed to relocate them to our field, where they are now terrorizing my two new hens!

You need to take a break and rest, the clay won't be going anywhere.

Lots of hugs to you.x

We shall indeed get together for coffee/tea in the near future! ^-^ I'll give you a call in the next day or so. I'm starting my seven day off stretch after I get off work in the morning, so I have a whole week open! Talk to you soon! ^-^

Hi Pat! I'm happy that your duckies going to live with a very nice man! I don't know what you've been true, but i know how it feels to be sad. I'm feeling sad for a while now because nobody around me understands my sculpting addiction and they don't like my style. unfortuately only my mother is proud of me... I'm living with a guy who is so totally different than me. Were almost 4 years together, but i know this relationship won't last. I'm 38 and he is 30 and want to have a lot of kids in about 2 years cause he's still studying at university. I'm 40 than and don't want to take the risk. I tell him so many times that its better to end our relationship, but he thinks i'm joking :-( I hope he think about it and see what i mean and agree with me soon, cause i can't handle this nomore...
sorry that i told you my story, but i really want to let it off my heart.

Pattee, you seem to have had several sad goodbyes this year and I'm sure each one is as hard as the last. I am glad that your little ducks are going to a good home though.
