Memorial Day Monday Follie

When a canvas says "takes" any medium don't believe it... I used watercolors and well it's still drying...
I've still got a bit to do on this... but it was fun.

If you use watercolors on canvas mix it with matte medium instead of water it will dry faster! I love the colors it looks like it was fun!

That's lovely Pattee. Next one Doodle babies. Yay!!!!! I am sure you will come up with something special you want to do. It is always nice to use a different medium to wake up the creative juices. Good luck sweetie. xxx

Beautiful! Yes, I find that sometimes "all mediums" don't work on those types of papers.

OH! I LOVE the COLORS!!!
It looks WONDERFUL!
I don't know anything about watercolors...actually I just experiment with everything, trial and error but matte medium idea sounds good to me!
LOVE IT!

OH, guess what! I hit my 100th post on my blog! Stop by if you have a moment, I'm having my first ever giveaway!

Hi Pattee! Very FUN, whimsical canvas! I left you a note on my blog... but share it here as well: Thanks so much for your very encouraging notes! I use "DecoArt" one-step crackle medium and it consistantly gives a nice, even crackle to paperclay. I have sitting on my workplace shelf, some "Valspar" Porcelain Crackle Glaze... but I have not tried it yet. The sample card that I picked up with this product (Home Depot) looks like it will provide an even, dramatic crackle. I will let you know what my results are, if I use it! Daryle

This is beyond awesome! =D I love it! Eastern WA was rainy... lol... I think we must've brought the moisture with us. We had a riot anyways! My bathtub painting was very simple... Just my first time ever playing with watercolors, so it turned out to be a page of rainbow, one color blending into the next. I'm working on a tree at the moment, I've got the sketch mostly done awaiting paint. If I finish it today, I'll post a pic! Your watercolorings inspire me! ^-^

LOVE.LOVE.LOVE. your doodles! Actually "doodles" is not the right word for these pieces - they really are works of art. This piece is great and I'm really looking forward to seeing more.

Hugs,
