The Circle of Friends Award...

I can't thank Sonia at http://darkravensnest.blogspot.com enough for giving this award to me. She's become a very good friend that I can confide in and cry on her shoulder.
She gives me laughs and hope...

I'd like to pass this award actually back to Sonia *see above why and her blogspot address)

She is a delightful woman and so much energy I wish I could bottle it! She and I have become good friends through groups and nings, classes and things. She's not only a fabulous doll artist but she does journaling, scrape booking, tags, and she learns so many new techniques to share with everyone... she's also in this month's ART DOLL magazine!

Michelle at http://3rdeyemuse.blogspot.com She and I have had email exchanges and the more I know Michelle the faster I like her. She's always so positive and writes comment on every blog she follows... She's a good friend.

Joanna Thomas at http://joannathomasdolls.blogspot.com Joanna is one of the sweetest people I know. She's always got a kind word and encouraging word for everyone. I'd sure like to meet her someday!

and Gail Lackey at http://gaillackey.blogspot.com I met Gail many years ago at a retreat she and Marilyn Razdat put on... One of the best 6 days I've ever spent. Gail and I have remained friends and I just love her so. She's funny and kind. Thinks of other people.. We got to go to NIADA last year together and she's too cool for words. Her Doll are unbelievable~ you need to check them out if you haven't yet!

And I have to send this award (just like Sonia did) to Renee at
htttp://circlingmyhead.blogspot.com She has become a best friend of mine. I love her dearly. She's witty, kind and generous with her love. She thinks of others first. She makes me laugh and she makes me cry. She is having a very rough patch in her life and what ever you do best, think of her... I know many of you are blessed by her friendship.

I have many more people I'd add to this list... and I wish I could..

The Mad Man

This "mad man" rides a bicycle and has been touring my studio for awhile now. I love his mad and crazy face. He's posable and will go up on my Etsy when I redo his clothing....

She is all by herself on Etsy now... I think she's been to every room in the house looking for... I don't know poor dear. I don't know how many more years she can take it... I might have to make her retire...

She is in my Etsy shop

Saturday's situation.

Bella went to the public market with me today and met some characters also a well deserved rest in a friends pillows.

I'm not sure what Bella's story is ~Or if she even has a story... The way I feel today she does not have one.

But an old Buddhist saying is "Fortune changes with swish of a horses tail"

I hope that it changes soon!

New Award. I'm so appreciative.

I want to thank Sue from Barton Originals for this amazing award.
Thank you Sue.
It makes me feel humbled.

This award was created by Ces http://cesandherdishes.blogspot.com
In honor of her friend Bella Sinclair http://bellasinclair.blogspot.com
The post on Ces's blog regarding Bella and the history behind the creating of this wonderful award.
In Ces's own words:
"I designed this award to celebrate art in the blogs and to honor the value of friendship, sisterhood, charing and caring. It is to be awarded to the gifted, accomplished , eloquent and talented blogger whose friendship and influence inspire us to do our best. That I named it after Bella Sinclair is because she epitomizes all of these things,, She is an inspiration to many of us."

Also Ces says:
"I hope that when Bella returns, this award would have already circulated in the blogs. It is my honor to give this award to the first recipients who I hope will find the same as I have in spreading its crown, giving shade and comfort of friendship and caring of the sisterhood by sharing this award with their blof-friends and sister"
I have followed Bella and Ces when I saw them posting on Renee's blog

http://circlingmyhead.blogspot.com

In the beauty of this award I would like to pass it forward. This is the part that is so difficult for me. All the friends I've gathered here are many.

Lets see if Bella can be uploaded

So I did get a few shots with Bella... Some blogspot wouldn't let me upload.
I think I was in such awe of the public art in Denver I forgot about poor Bella.
Her sister Viola didn't come as she was getting ready for her trip to Manitoba Canada.
More Glass ...
Bella with fairies
Bella with glass jewlery
Bella at a art gallery
Oh no BELLA Watch out!

Back from Colorado.

First and foremost I'd like to thank Sonia from
http://darkravensnest.blogspot.com for the most amazing award. It actually brought tears to my eyes to think she felt this way about me and my work. Thank you Sonia from the bottom of my heart.

This award is given by one to person to one person.
I am going to pass this award to another artist I call my friend.
I always have a hard time deciding who to pass awards to as there are so many that deserve them.

I'm passing this award on to Michelle at:

Michelle is a kind hearted, energetic, compassionate friend. She'll go out of her way to respond to any question you ask her. If you follow her blog you will not only see her amazing works of art but she also shares her techniques on so many things. I think she must be the energizer bunny... as she is always seemly going 150 mph. You will love her blog and friendship as much as I do.

Blogspot won't let me upload my pictures of Bella ~ So maybe later...

I'm home from Colorado.
I think I fell in love with Denver.
I'm not one for BIG cities, but Denver was one I think I could live in.
I was impressed with all the parks and public art.
The architecture was fantastic. They kept the old buildings, and incorporated new and modern in a way that fit so nicely.
I met some very nice people there.
AND
My hips got better!

Leaving Early in the morning

We have to drive first 2 hours to Seattle to catch the plane.
You might know that flying is NOT my favorite thing to do.
I'd much rather drive. Wait and more wait to get a bag checked ($15) then through security ohe vey~ you almost have to undress just to go through the security door!

I've been looking at another (almost thrown away) jointed doll and finally decided to paint her.
She was a dickens... wouldn't sit straight, fell down.... but anyway this is Bella (that's the first dolls name) and her sister Viola... You can guess what sister is my favorite!!!

New Doll I'm taking to Boulder Co.

I've made a jointed doll that I'm taking to Denver and Boulder Co. Take pictures of her along her travels.

With the ADO Traveling Doll Project http://adotravelingdollproject.blogspot.com
I took some of the dolls around Bellingham and took pictures of them. One was Sarah. I took her to Montana!

I was inspired to make jointed dolls from Colleen from LoopyBoopy Art.
http://loopyboopy.blogspot.com Her jointed dolls are fabulous!

When I get back I'll start with my giveaways.

Bellingham has a Flash Mob doing "Thriller"

This is so funny.... I would have never thought our sleepy town would put this on. There were over 400 people... pretty bad video but hey.... Here's to you Michele from Bellingham, Washington.

(At least watch until the drunk guy that has no idea why so many people are dancing!)
